Our 2011 season is now over and on behalf of the crew, Captain Bryan and Captain Gene, we would like to thank all of you who rode with us this season. Our goal is always to try and give you the finest fishing day possible.

Bluefish jigging

Jigging on the reefs outside of Stamford has been very produtive of late. The Tom K. party ended the day with 38 fish, releasing 18 to swim another day. Also some small stripers have been in the mix. All under sized fish released of course. Plenty of time and good weather left in the season, so come on out and join the fun.

We are happy to report that the Deborah Ann IV withstood the rath of Irene just fine.
Home office power did not fair as well. Computer and phone answering machines were down for 4 days. Sorry for any inconvience to those who may have tried to contact us.
All is up and running again, along with the bluefish. Fishing continues to be good in spite of the weather. Give us a call and come out and join the fun. Some weekend dates are available. 203 792-2277.

Psychic Fisherman

The Verizon engineering group trip boated large blues up to 12 pounds and the discovery of a hidden talent of one of their members. During a lull in the action,
Kevin, AKA the "I Man" pointed to the two trolling rods and said "these are both going to get hit". Within less then a minute both rods were hooked up and yielded large blues, scary! He will now be also known as the Psychic Fisherman. Needless to say he was hired on to ride on all future trips.

19 fish up to 9.5 pounds. Good time was had by all.

STRIPER TIME!!

Fished the West end of the Sound off Rye on Saturday and Sunday.
Nice mixed bag of Stripers and blues both days.
Had plenty of action on the troll with at one point all (3) rods hit at once, and landed all (3) fish.
Now would be the time for all you striper fisherman out there. Give us a call.

Another great trip last night with the Brendan K. party.
Good time was had by all. Plenty of large blues all around. All on bait.
Blackfishing has also gotten off to a fast start.
Season is winding down, but fishing has been super!

Verizon Bluefish mayhem

The Verizon troops were out again on Wed afternoon and the bite was on.
Jumbo blues in the 10+ pound range with a few smaller fish mixed in.
All caught on bait. Catch and release was the order of the day towards the end of the outing. The unofficial, official, pool results were,

Blackfish

Blackfish are in along with big blues. Stripers are starting to show, should be making the migration thru the western Sound very soon.
Lots of fish to be had, but not a lot of time left in the season.
Plan a trip before the long cold winter comes along.
The Deborah Ann IV will be sailing until the 15th of November.

Blackfish

Blackfish season opens up Oct 1,2010.
Don't miss out on what should be a great blackfish bite this fall.
Early reports have shown there are fish already in the area.
Open dates are available, so come out and don't miss out on some fine fishing.

Last Wednesday a group from Verizon engineering caught as many blues as they wanted, then released the rest. Fish were still biting when it was time to head for the dock.
Group was led by Kevin (The "I" Man)who won the "Triple Crown of Fishing" with the first fish, the most fish (High Hook) and the largest fish of the day!

Party from Saint Peter's Church in Danbury took home a nice mixed bag of bluefish, scup and a few nice Black Sea Bass.

Fishing has picked up of late so, come out and join in on the action.

Bass and Blues

Productive trips on the Deborah Ann IV this week. Good mix of keeper bass and the blues are starting to gang up in mid Sound. We were able to jig some blues over the weekend. The Haynes family, Father, Son and Grandfather did a good job boarding bass up to 18 pounds with some nice size blues mixed in.

Sometime since our last update. Have been catching Blues on bait and jigs. Fish are in the 10 to 12 pound range of late. Eric M. caught a 11.35 pound blue over the WICC Bluefish Tournament weekend, in a very rough northeast wind. Fish came in second at Fish Tales in Stamford. Close but no cigar for the port prize.
Porgy fishing has been good with some nice size black sea bass mixed in.
Blackfish season opens on Oct 1. The Deborah Ann IV will be sailing at 7AM to 3PM on full day charters and 7AM-11AM for half day trips.

Good job by the Don Christino party who took home 24 blues up to 8 pounds and released several others on Friday afternoon's 1-5 trip. All before the rain came in yet again. Bad weather has not effected the fishing, hopefully the sun will stay out soon. Fish were busting on top and piled up in spots. Lots of action for all. Come out and join the fun. 203 792-2277

06-03-09 The Verizon engineers finally broke the ice and caught a keeper striper. Vinny S. took the honor. Hopefully more will follow in his footsteps in the near future.

8 stripers, 2 nice keepers and 6 released, plus 30 + bluefish up to 8 pounds in 2 + hours of none stop fishing.
Congratulations to Mrs. V for her 35", 16.6 pound striper just beating out in weight another 35" striper caught by another member of the party of 4.
